After 5 years, I’m sadly leaving JLA – one of the best parts of the job has been meeting and getting to hear some of the amazing keynote speakers that we work with. I thought it would be a good time to reflect and make the tough choice of picking my top five keynote speakers.

The first keynote speaker is someone we were introduced to quite recently, Will Page. Will was the Chief Economist for Spotify. He started at the company when they had 20,000 subscribers and left when they had reached 40million. To be able to hear from someone who worked for a company that is such a gamechanger for a whole industry is seriously cool.

Another keynote speaker that I have been inspired by is Sabrina Cohen Hatton. She is honest and open about her story, translating her experiences into insights and lessons for the future.

Giles Duley is, without doubt, one of the most inspirational keynote speakers I’ve been lucky enough to have seen. The stories of the people he’s met, accompanied by his photography, combined with his view on life, is just extraordinary. (I’d also recommend following his instagram @one_armed_chef – his culinary skills are next level too!)

The fourth keynote speaker I have chosen is Priya Lakhani: she is truly inspirational and an entrepreneur in every sense of the word. Having set-up and run many successful companies, she has lots of lessons and insights into the world of business, tech, and leadership.

Last and by no means least is one of the long standing legends of the keynote speaker circuit, the one and only Sir Ranulph Fiennes. There is a reason he is still so popular – the way he tells his story, his humour, and his accomplishments give him truly legendary status.

It’s been hard to limit myself to just five keynote speakers, there are so many more that I have been inspired and educated by over my time here. I haven’t even started on the sports people that I love hearing from!! Luckily I am also leaving behind an excellent group of JLA colleagues who are always ready to help you out with your next event.
