Last night Cadogan Hall played host to yet another fantastic Real Variety Show.

Hundreds of event organisers and industry professionals were entertained by the latest up-and-coming acts in the world of stand-up comedy, magic and dance, as part of our 2023 showcase.

Host

Stephen Mulhern

Television and radio presenter and magician Stephen, is the host of Britain’s Got More Talent, Catchphrase and In For a Penny. He also covers for Chris Evans on Virgin Radio’s breakfast show, and tours the UK with his variety and magic shows.

Performers

Frobacks / Globacks

Frobacks are a mix of flash mob and comedy act whose combination of humour and choreography wow’s audiences. They appeared on the dance competition series created by Simon Cowell, The Greatest Dancer.

Emmanuel Sonubi

Emmanuel Sonubi started his career in comedy a few years ago and has quickly gone from open spots to headlining Live at the Apollo. The Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Show and Best Newcomer nominee is a favourite on the live comedy circuit. He has an engaging presence on stage and in his storytelling discusses previously being a bouncer at some of the scariest clubs in London.

Tatty Macleod

Tatty is a French/English bilingual stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. She has gained a huge online following thanks to her French vs English sketches which have amassed over fifty million views across Instagram and TikTok.

Susie McCabe

Susie’s brilliant storytelling, acute observations and killer punchlines have made her one of the most sought-after performers in the UK. With four sell-out shows at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, she continues to be the fastest-selling artist at the festival. At the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, her show Domestic Disaster was a sell-out.

Pete Heat

Pete’s modern style of magic has made him one of the busiest and most sought-after magicians in the UK, working at all manner of events. He’s performed for David Beckham, Rita Ora, and Mumford and Sons, and taught Jude Law sleight of hand for the film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Scott Bennett

Scott’s routines are drawn from real life experiences with wry observations on the absurdities of modern living. He has written for acts such as Chris Ramsey and Jason Manford, and appeared on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo.

Lou Sanders

Lou is a comedian, writer, and actor. Her show Shame Pig was the joint winner of the Comedians’ Choice Award for Best Show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She has appeared on QI, Would I Lie to You?, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Live at the Apollo, and won series eight of Taskmaster.

Amy Gledhill

Amy’s debut show The Girl Before The Girl You Marry was nominated for Best Live Show at the National Comedy Awards and Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Fringe. She has appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show, The One Show, Pointless Celebrities, The Stand Up Sketch Show, Hypothetical, Alan Davies As Yet Untitled, and The Emily Atack Show.
