In interviewing leading names in the arts and media on her podcast, the bestselling writer and journalist Reni opens up the difficult conversation around racism in Britain today.

Biography

Reni Eddo-Lodge is the award-winning author of Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race and host of the accompanying podcast About Race with Reni Eddo-Lodge.

On the podcast Reni interviews key names and leading activists from within the arts and media on black history and the scope of racism in Britain today. As she examines the nation’s history of racism, she also looks at how it has shaped the cultural and socioeconomic landscape of the 21st century. She tackles everything from the politics of whiteness to representation in popular culture to how the national conversation has evolved as a result of social media.

Reni was one of the 21 luminaries who contributed to The Good Immigrant and whose work has appeared in the New Daughters of Africa anthology. She has also written for The New York Times, The Guardian, The Independent and The Daily Telegraph, to name a few, and has spoken on Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and Radio 3.
