The longest serving Radio 1 breakfast host has since taken to the stage as Herod in the arena tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar, and presents the breakfast show on Radio X. 


Chris Moyles boasts a long successful career spanning over thirty years in the entertainment industry, working as an author, and radio and television presenter. Starting his radio career in his hometown of Leeds at sixteen, Chris worked for stations such as Radio Luxembourg and Capital FM, before joining BBC Radio 1. Due to his irreverent style, he quickly became one of the stations most talked about and popular presenters. He currently hosts the breakfast show on Radio X. The weekly podcast of the show attracts over half a million downloads a month.

During his time at Radio 1 Chris hosted the breakfast show to an audience of eight million people for a record breaking eight and a half years and remains the longest serving breakfast host in Radio One’s history. The show won two Sony Gold awards and became a broadcasting institution.

Away from the radio studio he’s toured as King Herod in Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar, and presented The Love Machine for Sky, and Chris Moyles’ Quiz Night on Channel 4. He’s appeared as a guest on everything from Loose Women, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, This Morning, Celebrity Juice, The One Show, Who Do You Think You Are? and The F Word. Chris ventured into the jungle when he took part in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

He has also raised money by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and reading time on the Speaking Clock and has taken part in a range of Comic and Sport Relief and Children in Need challenges.

Chris is a two-time Sunday Times bestselling author and has recorded and released two top twenty albums of his popular parody songs.  During lockdown, he ran many online live DJ events, entertaining his followers on Instagram each Friday night, and totalling over five million combined views.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
