Bold, thoughtful and charismatic, Jamali's a regular on Sky's Never Mind the Buzzcocks, has appeared on Taskmaster, QI, and 8 Out of 10 Cats, as well as The Late Late Show in the US, whilst also exploring some more challenging themes in his acclaimed documentaries.
Jamali Maddix is one of the most distinctive and provocative voices in UK comedy today. Known for his fearless, thought-provoking but approachable style, he combines sharp observational humour with a disarming, charismatic on-stage presence.
A regular on Sky's Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Jamali has also featured (with varying levels of success and frustation) on Taskmaster, as well as Live at the Apollo, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Russell Howard Hour, and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order. He’s taken his stand-up Stateside with an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, as well a live tours in the US, Australia and Europe. Whilst his darkly comic and offbeat podcast Spooky Shit won Best Comedy Podcast at the British Podcast Awards.
Away from comedy, Jamali has built a career that has seen his personality, curiosity and personal passions reveal important stories about society. He fronted Hate Thy Neighbour, a series that saw him travel the globe engaging with extremist groups to uncover the roots of their ideologies. His documentary work continued with Channel 4’s Adventures in Futureland and Follow the Leader for Dave, produced by Louis Theroux’s company, Mindhouse.
Jamali’s mix of intelligent, confrontational comedy and authenticity continues to set him apart as a compelling voice on stage and screen.
