Biography

A regular both on radio and TV, Andy Parsons is best known as a member of the Mock The Week team. He’s also appeared on Live at the Apollo and starred in nine series of Parsons and Naylor’s Pullout Sections on Radio 2, alongside comedy partner Henry Naylor.

An award-winning standup, Andy started his career writing for satirical shows including Spitting Image and Radio 4’ Week Ending before starting the Pullout Sections. A lynchpin of the Comedy Store’s Cutting Edge team, Andy gained an admirable reputation for producing new, topical material every week.

Andy’s ability to take a witty, irreverent look at current events saw him become a fixture on BBC2’s Mock the Week. He’s also been a guest on QI, They Think It’s All Over, and a host of other standup and comedy shows.

On the live circuit, Andy’s combination of self-deprecation, topicality and disenchantment has made him a stalwart of the world's comedy festivals, regularly appearing at Edinburgh, Sydney, Melbourne and Montreal. He also has three sell-out UK tours and three best-selling live DVDs to his name.
