Russell is seen as one of the best improv merchants in the business. He delivers his stories with a sense of wonder and joy; even his mischievous side is good-natured. Following the release of his Netflix special Lubricant, he became the sole comedian to have two of the top ten most-streamed specials across all platforms in the UK.

Biography

With a series of sell-out national and international tours and over nine million social media followers to his name, Russell Howard is one of the UK’s most successful and popular comedians. The Sunday Times rated him as 'one of the world’s top comedians'. He wrote and starred in The Russell Howard Hour, which ran for six seasons, and previously, and wrote and starred in ten seasons of Russell Howard’s Good News. His travelogue series, Russell Howard & Mum: USA Road Trip and Russell Howard & Mum: Globetrotters, was the highest-rated new series on Comedy Central when it launched.

On stage, Russell has an infectious enthusiasm for the world that’s impossible to resist. His international tour show, Respite, his biggest to date, spanned over twenty-four countries across five continents. This followed his international tour, Round the World, which saw Russell performing at the Royal Albert Hall on ten consecutive nights, breaking the venue’s record previously held by Frank Sinatra and Barry Manilow of eight shows in a row. The tour was then released as a Netflix Special entitled Recalibrate.

In his podcast Five Brilliant Things, Russell chats to guests about what makes life worth living and recounting the most memorable and funniest moments of their lives. He describes the series as “an absolutely joyous celebration of the little things that make people tick.”
