Within a few years of scooping Edinburgh's biggest award, Russell had two new BBC3 series to his credit: Live At The Electric and Unzipped. He's since turned to Staying In With Greg & Russell, written his debut novel, guested on Celebrity Juice and compered the Real Variety Show - to massive acclaim.

Biography
Multi-award-winning comedian, presenter, author and scriptwriter, Russell Kane is best known for his BBC Sounds podcast, Evil Genius which has become a flagship show, and was the best performing original podcast on the platform. His other podcast Man Baggage, finds Russell and his celebrity panel unpack the emotional baggage men spend their lives avoiding.
Russell won the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for his show ‘Smokescreens and Castles’. To challenge himself further, he produced a more unconventional Edinburgh show with his critically acclaimed hit Fakespeare: The Tragickal Savings of King Nigel, a bawdy romp set in a modern-day Essex where everyone speaks in Shakespearean verse.
His TV appearances include The Apprentice You’re Fired, The One Show, Live At The Apollo, The Stand Up Sketch Show, Antiques Road Trip, as well as regular appearances on Steph’s Packed Lunch.
Russell also continues to provide his ever-popular topical online rants known as ‘Kaneings’ on his YouTube channel.

He presented the awards flawlessly. Russell also wanted to ensure the ceremony had the maximum impact, and worked with us to change certain layouts of the stage and parts of the script so that they would have a better impact on the audience, which they did!
The audience loved him! Russell understood the audience and type of event extremely well. He held the audience's attention, which is not an easy task, and then hosted the awards with great professionalism, energy and humour. Amazing!
Russell had the task of presenting around 20 awards to an audience of 1000 thirsty heating engineers. That he kept them engaged and laughing to the end is testament to his skill as a host. But the fact that I am still getting people complimenting me on a memorable night, six months on, is the true mark of his abilities. There was a 'warmth' in the room that Russell helped create and the photo of him being carried aloft by one set of winners defines the atmosphere on the night. Funny, interactive, warm, pacy: an Awards organiser can't ask for more!
The first presenter we have had in many years who commanded the audience attention from the second he walked on stage. He had everyone captivated and with him during the whole show.
His stand up went down an absolutely storm with the audience and ours are a tough crowd to please. Russell made the whole awards presentation absolutely seamless and sailed through them very quickly and efficiently without them feeling rushed.
An absolutely lovely chap too, very professional and punctual for run through and on the night. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better host – thank you so much for the recommendation.
Russell hosted our Cooling Awards and effortlessly brought out the comedy potential of the nichiest of niche subjects – fridges and freezers – while being sensitive to the audience, who really love their refrigeration.When you roll in the ad libs and the laugh-out-loud standup, you have an ideal Awards host.
