Having always had an interest in finance, and after studying economics in university, Tayo was determined to find the best way to invest as he began his career. He took a liking to property but noticed there were barriers including myths, scaremongering, and lack of knowledge when it came to getting on the property ladder. Tayo discovered he could invest in property and utilise his interest in finance by studying to become a qualified mortgage broker which allowed him to buy his first property at twenty-two.
Since then, Tayo has dedicated his time and knowledge to help first time buyers and experienced investors achieve their goals within the property market. He was selected to be in the Top 25 Entrepreneurs to watch list, which is run by UK black Business week and sponsored by HSBC.
As a fully qualified mortgage advisor through the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), Tayo advises on areas including how to buy in today's market, investing in property for retirement, good debt vs bad debt, the ins and outs of buy to let mortgages, and investment strategies. He also holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Portsmouth, which gives him knowledge on how to climb the corporate ladder and how to communicate effectively in the workplace.
Tayo’s background and experience help him talk about working harder as an ethnic minority in the workplace, the wealth and property gap in the UK and the true impacts of gentrification.
