After experiencing a prolonged period of chronic stress affecting every aspect of her life, Alice Law undertook a rigorous study of stress - its causes and effects, how we view it and practices to help us manage our reactions. Along with Mo Gawdat she co-founded an online stress management platform and co-authored Unstressable: A Practical Guide to Stress-Free Living.
Alice Law is a stress management consultant and wellness expert, and the co-founder, with Mo Gawdat, of Unstressable, a platform which aims to support and relieve a million people a year from stress and anxiety. She also co-authored The Sunday Times bestselling book Unstressable: A Practical Guide to Stress-Free Living, again in collaboration with Mo, which combines his business and engineering experience with her stress-management and psychology expertise to tackle the ‘stress pandemic’.
Having experienced a nine-year period of chronic stress, where she experienced loss in every aspect of her personal and professional life, Alice focused on the study of stress. She explored the subject from a variety of angles in order to understand it nature, causes and effect, and to help her get through this challenging time of her life. This process involved analysis of, and training in a variety of methods and practices including meditation, mindfulness and emotional freedom. Drawing from her own experience, and combining her formal training and a continued practice of self-study, Alice developed the processes which underpin Unstressable - processes which work to not just manage stress and anxiety, but prevent it arising in the future.
With a focus on our reaction to events, rather than the events themselves, Alice brings these practical lessons, practices and tips, along with her training, to organisations and teams of all types and sectors. She also works privately with business leaders and entrepreneurs to help them to become resilient to stress.
