Laura has hosted Love Island, I’m A Celebrity and a Radio 5Live show. She’s also a regular presenter at music festivals, and a successful author. 


Biography

Laura Whitmore is a TV presenter and radio broadcaster. Known for her roles hosting Love Island, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now, and Celebrity Juice, as well as her own BBC Radio 5 Live series, The Laura Whitmore Show.

She hosts Castaway, the podcast about podcasts, and wrote and starred in her first short film, Sabhdh, for which she won Best Actress at the Irish Film Awards.

Laura has interviewed some of the biggest musical artists in the world and her love for music is inherent throughout her career, leading her to DJ at some of the biggest and best venues around the world.

With a degree in Journalism, Laura regards writing as her first love. Her article expressing her views on Upskirting and the #MeToo and #TimesUp campaigns went viral after publication on The Huffington Post, was shared millions of times around the world. She has written features on topics ranging from abortion to the effects of social media, for Grazia Magazine, Hot Press, Elle, and Glamour. Her poem for International Women’s Day, She, was shared all over social media and her book No One Can Change Your Life Except For You is a Sunday Times Bestseller.

Looking Ahead to International Women’s Day

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
