Biography

The original host of Big Brother, Davina McCall is one of the nation’s most successful TV broadcasters appearing on the hit series Long Lost Family, The Masked Singer, and The Masked Dancer, and the ground-breaking documentaries Sex, Myths and the Menopause and Sex, Mind and the Menopause. Alongside her TV work, she has built a successful fitness empire, which encompasses DVD releases and a range of equipment, and the launch her fitness platform, Own Your Goals.

Davina is also a bestselling author. Menopausing considers every aspect of the menopause with candour and rigour to enable women to speak openly and positively about it to feel less alone and more understood. In her book Lessons I've Learned, Davina shares the challenges she has faced and motivates readers find happiness and fulfilment and feel more confident. She has also written the healthy eating books Smart Carbs, Sugar-Free in a Hurry, and 5 Weeks to Sugar-Free.

An accomplished and unflappable live presenter Davina has presided over numerous awards, including the BRITs and the BAFTAs and has played a major role in Comic Relief, travelling to Nairobi and Uganda to give front line reports on the charity’s projects in Africa.

On Tuesday 17th September we had the pleasure of hearing from a remarkable panel of speakers, who shared their expertise on the challenges of managing Risk in a chaotic world.

The panel featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton KFSM (Firefigter and Neuroscience researcher), Lord Parker of Minsmere (Andrew Parker, Former Director General of MI5), and Sir Robin Niblett (Former Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House). The event was hosted superbly by Mastermind and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie.

Over the hour, our panellists explored Risk on multiple levels, from global affairs to business environments and personal everyday challenges. They provided valuable insights into how we can better manage and mitigate Risk in today’s unpredictable world.
