Venezuelan-born Hugo fronts two of the tightest rhythm sections – playing merengue, salsa, bolero, salsaton, bachata and Cuban jazz. They expand into a full production show with costumed dancers.
Venezuelan-born Hugo has been described by Time Out as London’s answer to Oscar d’Leon. His band boasts one of the tightest rhythm sections around, with renowned players from all over the world. It is Latin explosion at its best.
Victor Hugo and the Mambo Boyz play a mix of rhythms combining funk, merengue and Cuban jazz alongside salsa. The salsa itself is a concoction of afro-Caribbean rhythms like Son Montuno, Mambo and Bomba y Plena.
Vic also fronts Tropicalisimo, a spectacular production show with first-class dancers, exotic costumes and dynamic choreography.
