After retiring and moving into coaching, she was appointed head coach of the Dutch national team and was named Best FIFA Women’s Coach before guiding them to the final of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2019.
During her managerial career, Sarina has been awarded World Best Women's National Coach by IFFHS and named Coach of the Year at the BBC Sports Personality Awards. She was made an Honorary CBE in the New Year’s Honours list for services to association football.
In her memoir What It Takes, Sarina shares her vision for a transformative and inclusive future for football and gives an insight into her life and career.
