Ian King is the former lead business presenter on Sky News and is a contributor to CNBC International, for whom he writes a weekly newsletter, CNBC UK Exchange with Ian King. He is also a regular columnist for The Times and a commentator for Times Radio.
Known for his hard-hitting interviews and acute analysis, Ian’s expertise ensures his coverage is relevant to viewers, explaining how actions in business and economics will affect people’s lives. His Sky News show, Ian King Live, saw him interview the biggest names in business, finance and economics, and tackle the big business stories of the day.
Ian started out as an analyst at HSBC before embarking on his journalism career at the Daily Telegraph. He went on to The Guardian and then the Mail on Sunday, before joining The Sun as Business Editor. Whilst there he was named Business Journalist of the Year both at the UK Press Awards and at the London Press Club Awards. Ian went on to become Business and City Editor at The Times.
