Biography

Alongside his wife Carrie, David Grant is now best known as a vocal coach and judge on shows like Comic Relief does Fame Academy, The One and Only and The Alan Titchmarsh Show. The full list of credits includes Carrie & David’s Popshop, Can’t Sing Won’t Sing, The Sound of Musicals and Facing the Music.

David first made his name in Brit-Funk as founder and frontman of Linx, with four top twenty singles. He then re-emerged alongside Jaki Graham with Could It Be I’m Falling in Love? In all, David enjoyed fourteen hits in the UK charts.

In the mid 90s David and Carrie made the highly acclaimed Watching and Waiting, winning a MOBO award for Best Gospel Album. David then put his considerable coaching experience into practice with the likes of Will Young, S Club, Take That, The Spice Girls and Gwyneth Paltrow.

David is an inspiring speaker and awards presenter. He encourages others to believe in themselves and realise the potential they didn’t know they have. Looking Ahead to International Women’s Day

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
