Hannah is an Emmy-nominated journalist and broadcaster. She has anchored live television news programmes for CNN International and Sky News.

Biography

Hannah Vaughan Jones is a journalist, broadcaster and international news anchor for CNN. She has been at the forefront of some of the most cutting-edge news stories, including the election of President Trump, the Brexit referendum and the Boston Marathon bombings.

Hannah hosts flagship shows across CNN International – including CNN Talk, which is live streamed on Facebook, Newsroom, Connect The World, The International Desk and Hala Gorani Tonight.

She has broadcast live on location across the UK, covering terror attacks, General Elections and Referenda. Hannah was the anchor for CNN’s coverage live from Windsor at the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. She regularly interviews senior global politicians, philanthropists, activists and campaigners.

Previously, she anchored Sky News, including co-presenting with Eamonn Holmes on the Sunrise breakfast show. During her nine years at Sky, Hannah broke news stories from the Arab Spring and Japanese Tsunami to the Boston Marathon bombings and the London Olympics.

Having single-handedly hosted the Malaria Summit London, attended by HRH Prince of Wales, Bill Gates, and fifteen Heads of State, Hannah is a sought after awards host and event moderator. She later moderated the opening session of the World Health Assembly in Geneva, at the personal invitation of the Director General of the World Health Organization.

Given her own long journey to motherhood, Hannah remains a vocal advocate for access to fertility treatment, and global Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights. She and her husband, fellow newsreader Lewis Vaughn Jones, publicly documented their struggles with infertility in a widely watched YouTube series Our IVF Diary, after they spent five years and fifteen rounds of IVF trying to conceive.
