BIOGRAPHY
Dylan Jones is the editor of GQ magazine in the UK. He is credited with taking the magazine in a more political direction.
Dylan studied design and photography becoming Editor of i-D magazine. He has since been an Editor at The Face, Arena, The Observer and The Sunday Times. He has won the BSME Editor of the Year award four times. He has published biographies of Jim Morrison and Paul Smith and two anthologies of journalism. Dylan's best-selling book, iPod Therefore I Am: A Personal Journey Through Music documents his musical tastes and how his iPod transformed them.
Dylan's etiquette guide, Mr Jones's Rules for the Modern Man, includes advice on casinos, how to commission a suit and how to tie the laces of boat shoes. His most recent book, Cameron on Cameron was based on as series of interviews with the Tory leader over the course of a year.
His television credits include The Money Programme, Newsnight and The Matthew Wright Show. Dylan has also been a judge on Model Behaviour and Make Me a Supermodel and appeared on Channel 4's 100 Best...
Dylan hosts many events including, of course, GQ's own Men of the Year Awards, where he has introduced celebrities including Borat, Sir Paul McCartney and David Bowie. After dinner, his wide-ranging topics include management, the luxury sector, celebrity culture and the battle of the sexes. On the subject of modern etiquette, Dylan will explain how to buy lingerie, how to behave in a lapdancing club and how to suck up to your boss (though not, presumably, at the same time).
