Best Talk Show Host, New York Radio Awards (2001) Clive is best known for The Clive Bull Show which he presents each weekday evening on LBC 97.3 FM. The Sony Award-winning show is officially rated as London's most listened to night-time radio programme.

The Clive Bull Show is an open phone-in where you never quite know what's going to happen. It's irreverent and compulsive, with an instant take on breaking news and a rich seam of the ridiculous. The Sony judges described it as:

"An exception to the run-of-the-mill phone-in. It was all down to the presenter who appeared so laid back that his callers could not see how he was teasing them. A very dry sense of humour and great fun."

Clive's cult status led The Independent to crown him 'The Emperor of night-time talk radio'. The original Through the Night Show, on which Peter Cook was a regular caller under the pseudonym 'Sven from Swiss Cottage', was also captured on film by Channel 4 in Nightcaller. Clive has narrated a number of quirky television documentaries for the BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and Sky.

In a previous life, he was a keyboard player in a danceband and a media reviewer and pop columnist. He has a degree in Educational Broadcasting from London University and a distinction in Radio Journalism from The National Broadcasting School.

"There's no-one quite like him. You get the impression that he's living just a bit dangerously, and that's what makes phone-ins exciting"
