Rachel has appeared on Live at The Apollo, Mock the Week, and Cats Does Countdown. She is known for her for her viral segments on BBC2's The Mash Report and Dave's Late Night Mash. Rachel is also an experienced improviser, and a founding member of the award-winning improv comedy Austentatious.


Biography

Rachel Parris is an award-winning musical comedian, actor, improviser, and presenter. She was nominated for BAFTA for Best Entertainment Performance and beat Tiffany Haddish, Ellen DeGeneres, and Amy Schumer to become Female First’s Comedian of the Year. Her segments on The Mash Report and as host of Late Night Mash, have been worldwide viral hits across social media.

Rachel has appeared on Live At The Apollo, QI (BBC 2), Would I Lie To You, Mock The Week, Harry Hill’s Clubnite, The Big Narstie Show, and Richard Osman’s House Of Games.

She is a founding member of the improv show Austentatious, which has toured nationally, enjoyed sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and a weekly West End residency at the Fortune Theatre. She has also taken critically acclaimed solo shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, Soho Theatre and on tour.

Rachel’s book Advice from Strangers: Everything I know from people I don't know, is a feminist manifesto that outlines the essentials of living in the modern world; dealing with everything from Tampons to Tories and from #hashtags to Staying Hydrated.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
