Lucy presents ITV’s Weekend News and the North West’s current affairs show, Granada Reports. Other credits include The Late Debate.


Biography

Lucy Meacock is the main anchor on Granada TV’s regional news bulletins. She also guest presents This Morning and Hearts & Minds - a discussion programme covering topics including euthanasia, abortion and mixed marriages.

Lucy has also presented The Late Debate, a current affairs programme with audience involvement, and Granada Tonight, a live news and current affairs programme. Lucy has also worked with the BBC on London Plus, Children In Need and Election Night specials.

In addition to television Lucy has also contributed features for the Today Programme and network radio news. She writes a column in the Evening Leader.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
