Synopsis

A truly original combination of stand-up and live, interactive animation, Little Howard is Read’s six year old alter ego. The cartoon character chats to audiences and does his best to provide accompaniment on the guitar – with hilarious results.

Biography

Howard Read is an award winning stand-up, writer and animator.

His Big Howard Little Howard Show is an extraordinary combination of stand-up comedy and live, interactive animation. The star is Little Howard, Read’s six year old alter ego who can respond to audience questions using a complex database of routines. Howard can (and does) claim to have created a completely new genre of entertainment.

TV appearances with Little Howard include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Talk of the Town and Loose Lips.

Alongside performing, Howard is an established animation director. He made the opening films for Ross Noble’s tours, Noodlemeister and Unreal Time. TV work includes Celebdaq, in which animated celebrities (written, caricatured, voiced and created by Howard) interview Hollywood stars. Other credits include the Big Read, Two Posh Old Men and Polar Bears in a Snowstorm, which won the BBC New Comedy Award for Animation.

Howard performs with Little Howard in cabaret, and together they bring a brand new dimension to hosting awards.
