Biography

Helen Fospero is a broadcaster, presenter and reporter who has worked on news and entertainment programmes on Sky, ITV and Channel Five. A regular reporter on BBC One’s Watchdog and The One Show, she has also hosted GMTV and Lorraine for ITV.

Helen’s television career began with the birth of Sky News. She was one of the first journalists to be recruited and was Home News Editor when the channel launched. She went on to become news editor, reporter and presenter of Sunrise and Live at Five.

An exclusive interview with Paul McCartney led to Helen being poached by ITV for the new role of US Correspondent. She interviewed dozens of celebrities and covered the Oscars live from LA for three years running. She also covered the presidential elections and was one of the only British journalists to witness and report on the attack on the World Trade Centre.

Helen has also hosted the regional current affairs magazine, Look North and has been a regular in Countdown’s Dictionary Corner.
