Adam has graduated from sports to business and personal finance, via a spell as Comms Director for the BOA.
Adam is a presenter for BBC News and BBC World. As well as fronting bulletins and news coverage, Adam has also specialised in business news for both channels. Formerly Adam was a sports correspondent for the broadcaster who then served as the Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the British Olympic Association. He also worked on the board of Travelodge Hotels.
As a Sports Correspondent, Adam chased Martin Johnson along the beach during the Rugby World Cup, trailed around Tokyo shops in search of David Beckham, and witnessed Greg Rusedski being cleared of using drugs.
Adam was motor racing correspondent at The Sunday Times before Sunday Business offered him a plum job as Sports Editor. He has both raced with Damon Hill and collaborated with him on a book about racing, which was more successful.
After specialising in coverage of the 2012 Olympic Games bid for the BBC, and with over a decade in sports journalism, Adam took on the role of Director of Communications and Public Affairs for the BOA. He then moved to the position of Director of Sport Liason, a role that saw him advising and promoting British athletes and National Governing Bodies. After that, he spent a spell as Communications Director at Travelodge before returning to the BBC.
As well as a wealth of experience presenting and facilitating both business and sports related events, Adam also has a rich fund of anecdotes to share with after dinner audiences interested in anything from Formula One to London 2012 to what happens in TV when the cameras are off.
