Fanfara employ trumpet, sax, clarinet and helicon to recreate the colour and energy of Eastern European dance bands – either onstage or moving through the audience. They have entertained festival audiences from Sydney to Glastonbury.
Fanfara is a group of brass players (trumpets, saxophones and clarinet, baritons and helicons) and percussionists. They play in the style of Eastern European brass bands - the best known being the Roma groups Fanfare Ciocarlia and Boban Markovic.
Fanfara have played a variety of events and venues, including Glastonbury, the Dublin Festival, Brighton Corn Exchange and the Brighton Komedia, as well as numerous city festivals.
