Biography

Ed Gamble is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer, and podcaster. He is a regular on shows such as Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo, and 8 Out of 10 Cats, showcasing his observational humour, often inspired by his own life, family, and type 1 diabetes.

Ed co-created the Off Menu podcast with James Acaster. Each episode the pair interview a guest about their dream restaurant line-up. It was an instant success and has been nominated for Best Comedy at the British Podcast Awards. It consistently tops iTunes and UK Comedy Podcast charts with over a hundred million downloads in one hundred and ninety-five countries.

Crowned the series nine champion of Taskmaster, Ed was featured on the second Champions of Champions episode and is the current host of the Taskmaster Podcast.

He appeared in over thirty episodes of Mock the Week, which made him one of the most frequent regulars on the show. Ed is also a judge on Great British Menu and presents a show on Radio X with Matthew Crosby.

Ed served as one of six rotating guest-hosts for Pointless, alongside Alexander Armstrong. Additional TV credits include Man Down, Blankety Blank, Roast Battle, Richard Osman’s House of Games, and Hypothetical.

His stand-up tour, Electric, was given an extension after selling out multiple venues in its initial run. This comes after his twice-extended show Blizzard and his Amazon Prime special, Blood Sugar.
