Biography

Comedian, writer and actor Ed Gamble is a regular on shows such as Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, and 8 Out of 10 Cats, showcasing his observational humour, often inspired by his own life, family, and type 1 diabetes.

Ed is the co-writer and star of BBC America and E4’s Almost Royal. The series saw him and co-star Amy Hoggart portray a pair of young British aristocrats travelling around the US. Dim but charming, they would journey around cities meeting the public and attempting to learn typically American activities and jobs with varying degrees of ineptitude and bewilderment. Ed was also a writer for Greg Davies’ acclaimed Channel 4 comedy Man Down.

Ed’s early live career saw him performing alongside Ray Peacock, with whom he created the popular comedy podcast The Peacock and Gamble Podcast, described by The Guardian as "35 minutes of pure gold." Ed also co-hosts the iTunes-topping podcast Off Menu with James Acaster.

Praised by the Telegraph for his “attention-grabbing liveliness and considerable flair”, as well as selling-out his own live tours Ed has also supported Greg Davies, Chris Addison and Russell Kane on their tours.
