Biography

Simone Heng is a human connection specialist and author of Secret Pandemic: The Search for Connection in a Lonely World.  In her speeches she helps organisations feel more connected by inspiring employees with the antidote to loneliness, which is human connection.  

As a former broadcaster for Virgin Radio Dubai, HBO Asia, and CNBC, and with over fifteen years of experience as a communicator, connection has always been Simone’s life’s work.

As a speaker, Simone inspires people to connect in a world thirsty for connection. She has spoken to thousands of people, often for Fortune 500 organisations.

Her work has been featured in Forbes, CNBC, Vogue, Singapore Women’s weekly, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and CNN.  

Simone was born and is based in Singapore. She was raised in Australia, studied in Switzerland, and worked in the United Arab Emirates. She has a communications and cultural studies degree from Curtin University of Technology.

On Tuesday 17th September we had the pleasure of hearing from a remarkable panel of speakers, who shared their expertise on the challenges of managing Risk in a chaotic world.

The panel featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton KFSM (Firefigter and Neuroscience researcher), Lord Parker of Minsmere (Andrew Parker, Former Director General of MI5), and Sir Robin Niblett (Former Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House). The event was hosted superbly by Mastermind and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie.

Over the hour, our panellists explored Risk on multiple levels, from global affairs to business environments and personal everyday challenges. They provided valuable insights into how we can better manage and mitigate Risk in today’s unpredictable world.
