As Britain's highest-ranking black Royal Marine, Scotty's mettle has been proven. He continues to pass on his wisdom to some of the world's most elite performers, both as a team-leadership coach and as a motivational speaker. He is recognised as a driving force behind the the England football team for whom he ran several bootcamps in preparation for the 2018 World Cup.

Nicknamed “Gareth Southgate's Secret Weapon” by TV Presenter Lorraine Kelly, Scotty grew in South London with little to his name. He has since gone on to lead Britain’s Commandos around the world, becoming the highest-ranking black officer in the history of the Royal Marines.

Scotty’s international reputation is his ability to use his experience to inspire others and help them overcome their limitations. His relationship with Southgate is one he describes in emotive detail, based on several gruelling training camps he has run for England to strengthen the team’s culture.

As Commanding Officer, Scotty directed a team of recovery specialists responsible for rebuilding the lives of hundreds of physically and mentally injured service people across all four branches of the military. He led a ‘first on the ground’ team of Marines into Iraq. From start to finish, Scotty knows the human cost of war. While he is ever grateful for what the services have done for him, he has never been one to gloss over the darker realities that comes with it.

Scotty’s multiple setbacks, hardships and seemingly insurmountable disadvantages in life are the substance of his compelling personal stories. By laying himself bare before his audience, Scotty is a powerful motivational speaker, as well as performance, leadership and culture specialist.

The Armed Forces saw fit to hand Scotty a National Award after he was voted the most inspirational serviceman by the community.
