Arguably one of the greatest tennis players of all time, eight-time grand slam winner and Olympic gold medalist Andre speaks about philanthropy and the power to improve communities and the lives of others.
Andre Agassi is a former world number one tennis player, a winner of eight Grand Slam singles tournaments and an Olympic gold medal. Considered by critics and fellow players to be among the greatest players of all time, he is also rated as one of the most charismatic players and is cited as being largely responsible for the increase in the popularity of the game during the ‘90s.
Agassi’s incredibly successful career of almost two decades finally ended when his back problems became too much to contend with. Since retiring he has married former women’s number one Steffi Graf, founded the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation working with vulnerable children in his home state of Nevada, and the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy.
Andre is still involved in tennis, regularly playing in charity matches including a doubles match with his wife at Wimbledon. He is also an active campaigner for charity, a founding member of Athletes for Hope, and winner of the ATP Arthur Ashe Humanitarian award.
