Sindhu Vee

Fee Band

Brought up in India with degrees from Delhi, Oxford and Chicago, Sindhu worked as a banker before deciding to make her parents proud and turning to comedy. She’s since guested on Have I Got News, hosted her own Radio 4 series and the Comedy of the Week podcast, and become a regular on The Guilty Feminist. Sindhu weighs up life as a wife, mother and daughter. ‘Priceless,’ say Chortle.

Biography

Sindhu Vee was an investment banker before deciding to make her parents proud and turning to comedy. She was soon nominated for an Edinburgh Fringe award and given her own BBC series, Sindhustan.

After growing up in India and the Philippines Sindhu picked up degrees in Delhi, Oxford and Chicago. She then moved to London and married a Dane. As well as banking she had a brief stint as a model for Yves Saint Laurent – all of which gives her a distinct air of sophistication. Onstage she makes hay of the cultural melting pot, including her children’s Britishness. Chortle describe her act as ‘Priceless.’

Sindhu’s growing list of guest appearances includes Live at The Apollo, Have I Got News For You, Would I Lie To You? and Richard Osman's House of Games. Acting credits include Feel Good and Sex Education, and the Netflix film adaptation of Matilda. Alongside her Radio 4 series she fronts the Comedy of the Week podcast and often pops up on The News Quiz and The Unbelievable Truth.
