Biography

Lynda Gratton is Professor of Management Practice at London Business School. She is considered one of the world's authorities on people in organisations and is one of the UK’s leading business advisors working with companies across the world.

After a doctorate in psychology, Lynda became Chief Psychologist for British Airways. She moved on to management consultancy PA where she became that firm’s youngest-ever director. She then took the then almost unheard of step of returning to academia moving to the London Business School.

Now one of the most respected business professors and consultants around, Lynda addresses business on all aspects of spotting, retaining and developing talent and how this bedrock of any organisation can be strategically managed.

Author of a number of management books, Professor Gratton's Living Strategy has been translated into more than 15 languages and was rated by US CEOs as one of the most important books of its time. Another, Hot Spots, investigates why some teams, workplaces and organisations buzz with energy and others don't. In The 100-Year Life, co-written with LBS economics professor Andrew Scott, they examine how the so-called millennial generation can expect to be working for around 60 years, and the wide-ranging implications for employers, the workplace and beyond.

Lynda has been ranked by The Times as one of the top 20 Business Thinkers in the world today and the Financial Times selected her as the business thinker most likely to make a real difference over the next decade. Whilst she also featured in Human Resources Magazine's "HR Top 100: Most Influential" poll.
