BIOGRAPHY
Jason Manford rose from eager amateur to Perrier nominee to one of the UK's hottest comic properties in just a few years. He has presented peak time ITV shows including Comedy Rocks and Show Me The Funny, uncovered hidden operatic talents on Born To Shine, hosted BBC's Live At The Apollo - and played the O2.
Jason was employed as a lowly pot collector at Manchester's longest running comedy club when an act failed to turn up. He was given his break, and weeks later won the North West Comedian of the Year award. Next came the finals of Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny?
Jason then made his name on Tonightly and as a team captain in 8 Out Of 10 Cats, before a spell as co-host on The One Show. His 'man-of-the-people' personality and northern charm win over TV, radio and live audiences across the country - as demonstrated by a sell-out tour spanning eighteen months. His stand-up set is a mixture of perfectly timed observations and affable Mancunian banter.
