Jake’s profile soared when he hosted the BBC’s Formula One coverage, and he went on to be one of the lead presenters at London 2012. He now co-hosts the High Performance podcast with Damian Hughes. 


Biography

Jake Humphrey began covering major international sporting events including the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the Football World Cup, and the Cricket World Cup. He then started working with BBC Sport, presenting Football Focus, Final Score, the BBC’s Formula One coverage, and became the youngest ever host of Match of the Day. In his final year with BBC Sport, he hosted the 2012 Euros, the London Olympics and released his first bestselling book, Inside Track.

With Professor Damian Hughes Jake launched The High-Performance Podcast, which offers an intimate glimpse into the lives of high-achieving, successful individuals. The podcast has led to several spin off books including High Performance: Lessons from the Best on Becoming Your Best, How to Change Your Life: Lessons on Transformation from the World of High Performance, and The Daily Journal: 365 Ways to Become Your Best.

Off screen, Jake is passionate about contributing to the community through charity work. He is Chairman of Norwich Community Sports Foundation, Vice President of Young lives vs Cancer and was approved by Queen Elizabeth II to be a Deputy Lieutenant of Norfolk. He was also selected to become one of the first LinkedIn Influencers.
