Ian Lovett is Chairman of Dunbar Bank and a former Director of Zurich Financial Services. He is also responsible for the conference and incentive programme for Zurich's sales force, one of the largest in Europe.

Before joining Allied Dunbar, Ian had a wide-ranging career at Barclays. He headed the Small Business Unit and managed a number of large branches in central London. This experience gives him a wealth of material from which to draw in a delightfully funny after dinner speech. He also throws in some simple but inspired tips - like clearing your desk each day as though you are about to go off on holiday.

As one who believes that work should never dominate your life, Ian directs a great deal of energy to his other passions: cricket and classic comedy. Those who have seen him play believe the two are closely related. Ian is Chairman of Middlesex County Cricket Club and the Allied Dunbar Foundation, which has raised in excess of £10m for hundreds of charity projects.
