Simon Brodkin is best known as the character Lee Nelson and the prankster behind high-profile stunts such as giving Theresa May a P45 at the Conservative Party Conference. He regales audiences with tales of his lifelong trouble-making from medical school, his best-loved hoaxes to lockdown homeschooling.

Biography

As his alter-ego Lee Nelson, Simon has hosted his Well Good Show and Well Funny People. Star of Britain’s Greatest Hoaxer, Simon hit global headlines multiple times for his high-profile stunts including handing Theresa May a P45 during her speech at the Conservative Party Conference, showering disgraced FIFA president Sepp Blatter with banknotes and attaching a 25-foot sign to the side of Sir Philip Green’s superyacht.

Simon, who now performs as himself as well as in character, is a former doctor and performed his first solo show in 2006. He has since appeared in Absolutely Fabulous, Live at the Apollo, Children In Need, & Channel 4’s Comedy Gala.

In his comedy sets, he explains why trouble has followed him from medical school through to lockdown homeschool. He also shares what it’s like to be chased by Donald Trump’s bodyguards, how to make the police laugh while they’re arresting you, and what to do when you’re outed as a Jew by the Ku Klux Klan.
