The Barbadian stand-up won the public vote at the BBC New Comedy Awards. She’s now delighting audiences from the Comedy Store to The Guilty Feminist Live, and hosting the onstage chat show Girl Code. Her TV and podcast credits include Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, Off Menu and Perfect Sounds. According to The Guardian, ‘Sikisa’s ebullient personality makes the room sing.’


Biography

From South London, Barbadian citizen Sikisa has become one of the most exciting acts in the UK, having delighted crowds with her authentic, fearless and vivacious personality and immediate warmth and likability.

She won the public’s vote in the BBC New Comedy Award competition, for which she was a finalist. She has quickly made a name for herself on the comedy circuit with her unique style and has become a regular performer and MC at some of the UK’s favourite comedy nights.  She is also a two-time Leicester Festival Aware nominee for Best Newcomer and Best appearance with her work in progress shows.

Sikisa’s TV appearances include Sorry I Didn’t Know and Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, The Stand-Up Sketch Show, and a judge on the BBC New Comedy Awards. Her radio and podcast credits include Off Menu, Lemonade and Wheel Of Misfortune and Perfect Sounds. She was also a regular writer on Newsjack on  BBC Radio 4.

Sikisa is also an alumni of the Soho Theatre Young Company, and regularly performs and hosts nights at Angel Comedy Club, Komedia Comedy Club, The Comedy Store, and Top Secret Comedy Club. She has also provided tour support for The Guilty Feminist Live.

Sikisa has created and hosts two female-based live shows, Girl Code, which is a comedy chat show and Stand Up for Women, an annual comedy show raising money for charity.

Navigating Risk and Chaos – Strategies For Coping With An Uncertain World.

On Tuesday 17th September we had the pleasure of hearing from a remarkable panel of speakers, who shared their expertise on the challenges of managing Risk in a chaotic world.

The panel featured esteemed speakers, Dr. Sabrina Cohen-Hatton KFSM (Firefigter and Neuroscience researcher), Lord Parker of Minsmere (Andrew Parker, Former Director General of MI5), and Sir Robin Niblett (Former Director and Chief Executive of Chatham House). The event was hosted superbly by Mastermind and BBC News presenter Clive Myrie.

Over the hour, our panellists explored Risk on multiple levels, from global affairs to business environments and personal everyday challenges. They provided valuable insights into how we can better manage and mitigate Risk in today’s unpredictable world.
