Roger Tilling is the voice behind BBC2’s University Challenge, as well as The Royal Variety Performance, and scores of other shows and documentaries.


Biography

Roger Tilling is one of the most well-known and trusted voices on British television. As the famous voice of BBC2's University Challenge he has pronounced names like Singanayagam, Garčević, Bhattacharya and Drnovšek-Zorko live in the studio.

Roger began his career in independent radio, before moving into television to become a live announcer, voicing the trailers of BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Universal, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, MTV, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. He has also narrated over 100 documentaries, and provided character voices for computer games, animated productions and movie trailers.

With over 20 years of television and radio experience, Roger’s voice has been heard on many major television events and shows, from Never Mind The Buzzcocks to The British Soap Awards, to announcing Her Majesty The Queen at The Royal Variety Performance.
