Nina has more than two decades of experience in the media industry. Before working across ITV News, she was the lead presenter on BBC London News and Newsroom South East.


Biography

Nina Hossain is a journalist and broadcaster, best known as a face of ITV News. She can be seen across the UK on the ITV Lunchtime News, is the main anchor of ITV News London and presents News at Ten. She presented the series Coronavirus: Q & A for ITV, throughout the lockdown period of the COVID-19 crisis. She has also co-presented ITV’s Election Live coverage.

When not writing and presenting daily news Nina has worked on the documentaries, Exposure and On Assignment, hosted awards ceremonies and chaired a range of conferences.

Nina hosts press conferences for ITV and the BFI including Broadchurch and Liar, where she interviews a range of actors, writers, and directors. She also enjoys more intimate events and has done many "In Conversation" gigs with politicians like Peter Mandelson and Nick Clegg and is equally at ease with leading figures from the corporate, music or literary worlds.

Nina won the RTS Presenter of the Year for Regional News and has picked up three RTS Programme of the year awards when anchoring ITV News London and the ITV Evening News.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
