Biography

Catherine Bohart is an Irish comedian and writer. She has been described as ‘a comic with both a distinctive voice and a story you’d like to hear’  and as having ‘effortless to-and-fro with the audience’ by Chortle. 

She has several Edinburgh shows under her belt, one of which, Immaculate, was made into a debut special as part of Soho Theatre Presents… for Amazon Prime. She has also made multiple appearances on shows such Mock The Week, A League Of Their Own, 8 Out Of 10 Cats, and The Stand Up Sketch Show. She was also a regular correspondent on The Mash Report and has written material for BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show and Frankie Boyle’s New World Order.

Catherine co-hosted BBC Sounds Podcast and Radio 4 show You’ll Do and has appeared on multiple radio shows including The Now Show and The News Quiz. She also co-hosts the Trusty Hogs podcast, acting as agony aunt alongside Helen Bauer.

We were joined by four fantastic speakers to look ahead at International Women’s Day. With the theme of this year’s event being #InspireInclusion, we were lucky enough to hear from four women who have each blazed a trail in their respective fields: CEO of Channel 4, Alex Mahon; the former Australian Prime Minister and Chair of Kings’ Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, Julia Gillard; one of the leading voices in football, Eniola Aluko MBE; and broadcaster and journalist, Samira Ahmed.
