Biography

As the first comprehensive-educated Education Secretary, Justine Greening put equality of opportunity at the heart of education policy. As Development Secretary she represented the UK at the UN General Assembly in the creation of the Sustainable Development Goals. She also served as Minister for Women and Equalities, Secretary of State for Education, International Development and Transport, and Economic Secretary to the Treasury.

Justine is now the country’s foremost campaigner on social mobility, arguing for businesses to be a force for good and advising on their social mobility, DEI and ESG strategies. One of her fundamental beliefs is that profit and purpose are inextricably linked, and that business has a key role to play in society by boosting opportunity and driving levelling up. Justine left Parliament to focus on her social mobility work.

She also believes that people and planet are two sides of the same coin, and works on the One Planet Pledge, which helps to drive forward the push to Net Zero.
