Diversity

Fee Band

Made up of 11 East Londoners, including three sets of brothers, Diversity bodypopped into the spotlight on Britain’s Got Talent. Simon Cowell described the act as “sheer perfection.” They have since released StreetDance 3D and danced at Miss World, watched by 1.2 billion viewers all over the globe.

Biography

Diversity are the extraordinary street dance troupe best known for beating Susan Boyle to win the final of Britiain’s Got Talent. They have since gone on to global fame appearing on film and TV and at live events around the world.

The group were formed by their leader, Ashley, who took time out from his Physics degree to choreograph all the routines. Labelled ‘sheer and utter perfection’ by Simon Cowell, the group performed at the Royal Variety show as part of their prize. They also received a nomination in the Dance section of the South Bank Awards. Ashley himself has gone on to appear solo on a range of shows including The Apprentice and Ashley Banjo's Big Town Dance, in which he encouraged the previously undiscovered dance talent of Stockton-on-Tees to perform the world’s biggest routine.

Diversity are patrons of Dance Aid, the Hope for Children charity. They have also supported the government’s Change4Life initiative to promote healthy living and activity, impressing the PM with a performance outside 10 Downing Street. The group have also starred in a 3D film, StreetDance, produced a dance-fitness DVD, and toured the UK.
