Ieuan is one of the elite triple Lions tourists who have played against all the southern hemisphere sides. The Welsh rugby great won every honour available at club level, including the European Cup. Since retiring he has written a regular Sunday Telegraph column and anchored Front Row.
Ieuan Evans is one of the most celebrated players in Welsh rugby history. He holds almost every record at international level. He won 72 caps, including 28 as captain, and scored 33 tries for his country – four of which were achieved in a single game.
Ieuan played in the first three Rugby Union World Cups. He made seven appearances for the British Lions and joined the elite band of Triple Lions tourists, scoring the series-winning try in Australia. He was subsequently awarded an MBE.
Since retiring, Ieuan has developed a number of business and media interests. He has written a regular column for the Sunday Telegraph, anchored the Welsh rugby television show Front Row, and appeared regularly as an analyst and commentator for Sky Sports.
