Biography

Gary is a quick, sharp, ‘one-liner’ comedian whose tightly written, original material makes him one of the most quoted comics on the circuit. Respected by peers and loved by audiences his brilliant, razor-sharp and occasionally dark lines win over any crowd and leave them struggling to remember all the ones they want to tell later.

Ranging from the self-deprecating (I bought a chocolate bar and inside the wrapper it said ‘you’re a loser’. I wouldn’t mind but there wasn’t a competition on. To make it worse it was a Boost) to the obtuse (I went on a positive thinking course. It was rubbish); the darkly comic (it’s thanks to the efforts of people like my granddad that we’re not all speaking German today. Gary’s well-timed delivery of well-crafted punchlines has been displayed on Mock the Week and Dave’s One Night Stand. He’s written material for A League of Their Own, Stand Up For The Week, Live at the Apollo, 10 O’Clock Live, and The Sarah Millican Television Programme. He’s a regular fixture at comedy clubs around the country and at the Edinburgh, Leicester and Brighton festivals.
