Jo is the first female comic to play the new Mumbai Comedy Store. She's written for Graham Norton and graduated from warm-up to panellist on Have I Got News. Other credits include Mock The Week and Never Mind The Buzzcocks. Jo has enjoyed several Radio 4 series and toured the land with her Better The Devil You Know tour.
Biography
Jo Caulfield is a comedian, host, and comedy writer. She has worked on some of the biggest shows, and with some of the biggest names, in British comedy.
Described by The Observer as “one of the finest female comics at work” and by The Scotsman as “quite simply, a damn funny woman” Jo can regularly be seen headlining the UK’s biggest and best comedy clubs.
Jo has been the regular warm-up performer for Have I Got News for You for many years, and has appeared as a guest on the show, as well as on Mock the Week and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. She has also appeared on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.
On Radio 4, Jo has had own acclaimed shows, It’s That Jo Caulfield Again, Jo Caulfield's Speakeasy and Jo Caulfield Won’t Shut Up, as well as regularly appearing on shows including The News Quiz, Just A Minute, The Now Show, and The Unbelievable Truth.
Behind the scenes Jo is a respected writer, having served as a writer / programme consultant on all five series of the BAFTA Award winning So Graham Norton, who said of Jo, ‘I never knew I could like a woman so much’. She was also head writer on Ruby Wax’s Waiting Game, and Zoe Ball’s Strictly Dance Fever. Jo has also written for Joan Rivers, Ant & Dec, and Anne Robinson.

Jo was an incredible host last night! The whole crowd appreciated the well-researched opening remarks and she kept everyone engaged and laughing throughout. On a personal note, she was a delight to chat to with and have onsite.

Very funny but she also did her homework on businesses in the room which made for some added fun! Very clever.
A lovely lady, Jo had done so much research on our industry and the delegates. It really paid off. A lot of people wanted to watch England play Iceland that night. Jo suggested she came on at half time, showing not only her professionalism but also the type of person she is – a total delight and so funny.
Everyone was thoroughly impressed with Jo’s commitment to the evening. She clearly did her homework. Her dedication to the role was obvious. She even stepped up with no notice to fill a gap that arrived when we got through a set of awards quicker than expected. Many people have commented about how well Jo was able to deliver her jokes at the expense of audience members without offending anyone which is a very fine line. I would have no hesitation in recommending her. It will be tough to top her next year.
