Zoe Kleinman is the BBC's Technology and AI Editor, and has been a technology journalist and presenter for over two decades. She has covered all aspects of technology, from consumer to breaking news stories, from devices and gadgets, artificial intelligence and quantum computing, to cyber security and online safety, cryptocurrency, social media regulation and gaming. She brings complex tech stories to mainstream audiences across BBC TV, radio and digital platforms.
Zoe joined the BBC as a web producer and features editor before working as a senior technology reporter and presenter across programmes on BBC News and BBC World News. She was then appointed the BBC's first Technology Editor. Her investigative and reporting work has included the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica data scandal, Elon Musk's acquisition of Twitter, and the development of generative artificial intelligence. Her reporting has been cited in UK parliamentary hearings, and she has given evidence before the House of Lords on AI governance and data privacy.
Beyond traditional journalism, Zoe brings tech stories to life with a hands-on exploration of the latest developments and creative ways to put new technologies to the test. She has climbed Mount Everest in VR, raced drones in the Nevada desert, spent a night in a house full of robots, explored quantum labs, and tried surviving on Bitcoin on the Isle of Man. As well as appearing on BBC News, BBC World News, BBC World Service and Radio 4's Today, she also presents BBC social content across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, reaching millions with accessible, engaging tech coverage.
