Biography

Dr Léa Steinacker is a social scientist, author and entrepreneur whose work explores how technology interacts with people, organisations and the planet. Alongside her co-author Miriam Meckel, she wrote the bestselling Everything Everywhere All At Once: How AI Impacts Our World. In this, they look at how AI is integrated into our everyday lives, and consider how we should engage with it to shape our future. They explore the possibilities of the technology, stating that “the interaction of human creativity and digital tools can set off brilliant fireworks”, while also interrogating the risks of improper implementation, and what guardrails ought to be in place to ensure that it is used ethically and effectively.

Together with Miriam Meckel and Verena Pausder, Léa co-founded ada, a platform incorporating training, community, incubators and live events aimed at helping organisations drive innovation from within, powered by the belief that technology and change are opportunities to positively transform our lives, our work and our society. Léa is also CEO of AI company GaiaLogic, sits on the board of health and beauty multinational Weleda, and was previously a member of the AI Advisory Board for the media company Ringier AG. She has been cited as a Forbes 30 under 30 leader, and lectures at the University of St. Gallen and the Hertie School of Government. She has contributed to social justice initiatives in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Rwanda, and the DRC, been named a Boston Consulting Group Thought Leader, and received the Henry Richardson Labouisse Prize for independent research.

In speeches, Léa provides a holistic overview of technology, covering how organisations can ensure that AI is effectively deployed. She covers how AI will change the way we work, and how leaders within organisations can go beyond the hype to ensure that it is deployed in a way that is ethical and boosts productivity - and creates lasting organisational change.
