Fee Band

Since leaving the breakfast TV sofa Louise hosts Her Spirit Podcast to inspire women everywhere to live a healthier, happier life. She has also appeared as herself in Spooks and Torchwood, competed in Celebrity MasterChef, and represented Britain at the World Triathlon Championships.

Biography

One of the former presenters of BBC Breakfast, Louise has previously anchored news bulletins on BBC One, and the News Channel. She has also presented sports shows, and played a cameo (as herself) in Spooks.

After starting out on the Latin American section of the BBC World Service, Louise graduated to helping the team on Radio 4’s Today programme. She then reported for Radio Berkshire and went on to present numerous slots on Radio 5 Live. Before joining BBC Breakfast, she was one of BBC News 24’s main anchors. Louise presents the BBC’s Triathlon coverage, and has guest presented The One Show, and presented the BBC One series Real Rescues, Missing Live, and Crime and Punishment, and appeared in the Channel 4 history series Time Crashers. She presented Tonight: The Truth About Stalking for ITV, asking important questions on whether enough is being done to tackle the crime. Louise was thrown into the Welsh castle for ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, and competed in Celebrity MasterChef, and was the runner up in the final.

Louise hosts Her Spirit, a podcast with more than a quarter of a million downloads that discusses women's physical and mental health in relation to exercise. She also hosts the podcast, Push Your Peak. In this series, Louise sits down with superhumans who have done extraordinary things, to learn what it takes - mentally and physically - to go again and again.

She is the author of Dare to Tri, the story of how an article on cycling for BBC Breakfast led to a passion for the sport, and then an obsession which culminated in her representing Britain at the World Triathlon Championships.
