Biography

Mica Paris began singing in church and then went on to become a session singer at the age of 15, for bands such as Hollywood Beyond and Shakatak.

In 1988, she released her most successful single, My One Temptation. In the following years she went on to release many more singles and albums. She currently has her own show on BBC Radio 2, called Soul Sessions. She also competed in the ITV singing competition Hit Me Baby One More Time.

Mica has appeared in the BBC series The Sound of Musicals and with Lisa Butcher, took over from Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine, to be the new co-presenters of What Not to Wear.

As well as her successful music career, Mica campaigns against gun crime and youth homelessness.

‘Mica was very much on board and understood our objectives.’
