Biography
Josh Jones is one of the brightest and most distinctive comedy talents to emerge from the North-West of England in recent years. A natural performer with warmth, wit and irreverent charm, Josh’s style has made him a firm favourite on the live comedy circuit, TV and podcasts.
Nominated for the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer for his acclaimed debut Waste of Space show, Josh’s follow-up show Gobsmacked was a Festival sell-out and went on to become his debut UK tour. A former finalist in the BBC New Comedy Award, a show he returned to as a judge, Josh continues to win over audiences with his honest storytelling, playful energy, and sharp observations.
Josh’s TV credits include 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Jonathan Ross Show, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, CelebAbility, The Stand-Up Sketch Show, Late Night Mash, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, The Apprentice: You’re Fired, and many more. He’s also hosted BBC Three’s Fast Food Face-Off and Channel 4’s online chat show VIPees. Josh co-hosts the cheerfully gossipy history podcast Dead Drama, as well as Chatting with Cherubs alongside fellow comedian Morgan Rees.
